The application for this change is being undertaken in the UK, in a bid to tackle the high cost of ED treatment in the country. It is also moving towards member states in the US and EU to allow generic competitors (Viagra, Cialis, Levitra) to sell generic versions of the ED drug in the same manner.
The move to P means that competitors can sell the medicine in the same way as the original product. It also means that other P medicines, such as Viagra and Cialis, may also be sold by the same company as the original product.
